Lucas Robert Designs is the creation of Lora Gunn and Shannon Mackintosh and is a direct result of their joint travels to Asia. While visiting Beijing, China for the first time in January 2004, the pair was introduced to the enormity of variations in pearls. Being avid jewelry lovers themselves, they decided to embark on the journey of jewelry design. Their intentions were to design unique pieces using a variety of pearls and gemstones that were not only beautiful, but were affordable, as well. As Lora is fond of saying, "All women look good in pearls and pearls are perfect for every occasion!"

The women knew that they needed to offer something unique - something versatile and classic - to make their jewelry special. It was after much trial and error that they perfected the design of their sterling silver toggle clasp. The bar and circle clasp can be worn to the back, side or in front where it is most stunning when adorned with one of their beautiful enhancers. Whether you need that certain something for a formal occasion or just enjoy adding a finishing touch to your appearance, there is most definitely a Lucas Robert Design piece perfect for the occasion.

It would be remiss not to mention their inspiration for the Lucas Robert name. Both Lora and Shannon are - in addition to business women - very proud mothers of amazing sons, Lucas and Robert. Both boys were on that fateful trek to China when this adventure began. It is only fitting that they have a hand in the end result.
